| The Cuba United Methodist Church will be hosting an evening Vacation Bible School August 3-7. We will be hosting an exciting Beach Party where the children will learn the basics of surfing, riding the wave of God's love, and living with a new Beach-Be attituded. |
| If you are interested in going to camp this summer-there are several camps available, for more information call the church office. We have brochures and scholarships available at all three churches. |
Both youth groups have been very active recently. They participated in the Baccalaureate Services for both school districts, did service projects for some of our older members, and went to see "Prince Caspian". The groups will meet twice per month during the summer.

The Fiber Artists meet every Monday at the CUMC at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and quilt.

Cuba Ad. Board-
- Finance-Ad. Board set the budget-there is a copy posted outside the office on the bulletin board. If you would like to have a copy, please contact the office.
- Trustees-Phase 1 of the kitchen remodeling starting and scheduled to be done in 30 days.
- Ministry Team-Talked about having Kid's Club one Wednesday a month-8-10 volunteers will be needed. The family night at Putman Park went well with 12 people attending.
- Youth Group-The group cleaned up one of the member's yards. Cuba and London Mills Youth groups went to Living Springs Camp on a work project. They are doing a couple of activities per month during the summer.
- Pastor's Reports-
- Pastor Ardith-Ardith will be attending school from July 5-18. She is involved with several weddings.
- Pastor Paul-The combined Praise groups sang at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Reunion. There will be an open house July 13, 5-8p.m.at the London Mills parsonage to celebrate one year of ministry and Paul and Tes' 25th anniversary. OnJuly 20, 10:30a.m., There will be a Parish Church Service at Living Springs Camp with a potluck and swimming to follow.
- Old Business-The ad. board approved the purchase of 8 ice cream machine motors and 3 lids. Scenic Drive is the biggest fundraiser of the year The money used to buy the items will be taken from the Fall profits.
- New Business-We will host a Blood Drive on July 14. 2:30-6:30 p.m. respectfully submitted by Ellen
Trustee Phase 2 task force
- The church kitchen is going to be remodeled. There is a detailed plan on a table in the south room by the large stained glass window. There is a list of work that you can sign up for and participate in.
- We are going to determine food storage needs.
- Colors will be chosen to upgrade the kitchen.
- Ideas will be put into place for raising the funds for this project.

The Midwest Mission distribution center has provided hundres of flood buckets and health kits to communites experiencing flooding. The center needs more supplies for the flood buckets which include: bleach, liquid laundry detergent, liquid Lysol, antibacterial dish soap, air freshener, 5 scouring pads, 1 scrub brush, 18 cleaning towels, 7pack sponges, 50 snap clothes pins, clothesline, dust masks-5 pack, latex gloves, work gloves, and trach bags.

Annual Conference Report-The Illinois Great Rivers Annual Conference was held June 4-7 with our pastors and lay representatives in attendance. All of us had the opportunity to listen/vote on the reports and resolutions which determine the direction and leadership of our conference, worship together, hear good speakers, see and visit with friends, go to luncheons and dinners, watch with joy the children who were there, and say goodbyes to retiring pastors and churches who have finished their missions.
