The Board has changed the procedure for assigning
Pilgrims to Walks, effective immediately. A new Pilgrim Application
form is available at the following link: Pilgrim
Application. This new form incorporates several changes and
must be used for all future applications to attend a CTC Emmaus
Walk weekend. The APPLICANT section of the form includes: a statement
about Walk cancellation (four weeks prior to the date a Walk is
scheduled to start unless 20 Pilgrims are assigned); notification
that Pilgrims will be assigned to the first available Walk (no applications
will be assigned to any future Walk until all previous Walks have
reached the optimal and maximum 36 Pilgrims); changes to several
of the questions from a Yes/No answer to an explanation; space for
indication of any mobility issues that need accommodation; and an
authorization to release emergency or medical information as needed.
The required deposit has also been increased to $75. The SPONSOR
section of the form has a space to indicate whether the sponsor
has the sponsor materials provided by the conference (if so, the
conference can save 34 cents per item on postage back to the sponsor).
If you have questions or need additional information you can contact
any member of the Board or the Emmaus Office at: 2541 South IH-35,
suite 200-283, Round Rock, TX, 78664-7357; by telephone at 512-694-6729;
or by e-mail at ctcemmaus@sbcglobal.net.
Team
Database: Selection
of Team Members for Walks is conducted by a Regional Team Selection
Committee approximately six months prior to eachWalk start date.
In order to be considered for Team service, an individual must have
an active team application on file in the Team Database. The initial
application must be a hard copy mailed to the Conference Administrator.
Once an application is entered into the database, hard copies should
not be submitted for updates or changes. Updates for team service
are added by the Administrator from Team Rosters provided by the
Board Representative for each Walk. Changes in information or addition
of previous experience information is accomplished by e-mail from
an e-mail link in the database. It is an important part of the team
selection process to keep your team application updated in the database.
Use this link and follow the instructions to access your record.
Use the Send E-mail link in the system to send an e-mail to the
Administrator if information needs to be changed or added to your
record.
