Lake
Brownwood Christian Retreat; (The
Board of Directors, Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat, will change
its no-smoking policy effective January 1, 2008. During adult retreats,
we will have a minimum of three designated smoking areas inside
the campgrounds convenient to the sleeping quarters and meeting
halls. For those camps and retreats that include children under
the age of 18, we will continue our no-smoking policy, but that
should not affect your organization as we will strive to avoid scheduling
adult and children's events simultaneously. While the original intent
of the policy was to create a comfortable atmosphere for our non-smokers,
we now realize that the original decision implemented several years
ago is too severe for those who do smoke. LBCR welcomes all guests
and we want to ensure each person's stay is as meaningful as possible.
I apologize for any confusion, inconvenience or ill will this may
have caused any of our guests.)
Candlelight gatherings for the Central
Texas Conference begin at 7:30 pm, with Worship at 8:00 pm on the
second full day of each Walk, Flight, or Journey.

Team
Database: Selection
of Team Members for Walks is conducted by a Regional Team Selection
Committee approximately six months prior to eachWalk start date.
In order to be considered for Team service, an individual must have
an active team application on file in the Team Database. The initial
application must be a hard copy mailed to the Conference Administrator.
Once an application is entered into the database, hard copies should
not be submitted for updates or changes. Updates for team service
are added by the Administrator from Team Rosters provided by the
Board Representative for each Walk. Changes in information or addition
of previous experience information is accomplished by e-mail from
an e-mail link in the database. It is an important part of the team
selection process to keep your team application updated in the database.
Use this link and follow the instructions to access your record.
Use the Send E-mail link in the system to send an e-mail to the
Administrator if information needs to be changed or added to your
record.
NOTICE OF WALK FEE INCREASE: The Board has
adopted a Walk fee increase effective April 1, 2008. A new Pilgrim
Application form is available on the Applications and Schedules
page. After April 1, all old forms should be destroyed and only
the new form should be used for Pilgrim applications. The new form
can easily be identified because it has the CTC logo (state outline
with cross and rainbow) in the upper left corner.
