Advanced Training
(All are welcome)

November 13-14, 2009 –
Worship is at the heart of the Christian Church. An advanced leading
course entitled, Worship in Spirit and in Truth will be offered at Camp
Innabah. The course will be taught by Rev. J. Dennis Williams. This
class will explore…
- The Nature and Purpose of Christian Worship
- Patterns of Worship
- Music and Roles of Culture
- Enhancing CSM Leadership in Worship
Those who share on worship design teams, serve as
liturgists, are church musicians, or are active participants in worship
will find this course helpful. Come with a Bible, a notebook, and

- March 19 & 20, 2010 –
The Christ
Servant Ministers Preach, Pt. 1 - Introductory Course will be led by
Rev. J. Dennis Williams. Registrations will be limited to the first 20
registrants. (Exact location will be announced after September 1, 2009.)
Special Opportunities

Making Disciples of Jesus Christ for the
Transformation of the World – Christ Servant Ministers involved in
these training opportunities may request CSM Leadership credit after
they have attended a minimum of 6 sessions. (Download

Healing the
Wounds of Racism
– Christ Servant Ministers who complete the training may request CSM credit.

- Certified Lay
Minister – The 2004 General Conference of the
United Methodist Church authorized the creation of a Certified Lay
Minister. The General Board of Discipleship and the General Board
of Higher Education and Ministry worked together to develop the basic
coursework to prepare for this form of ministry. To learn more about

January 21-24, 2010 – The Eastern Pennnsylvania Christ Servant Ministries Program will host the
Association of Conference Directors of Lay Speaking Ministries (ACDLSM)
national conference at the Ramada Philadelphia Airport Hotel.
