CURRICULUM
Pre-K and Transitional Kindergarten use the ABEKA curriculum. ABEKA teaches Phonics and Reading: concept-:recognition of name, sounds of long and short vowels and consonant sounding of blends and one and two vowel words. In addition, number recognition counting and number concepts are taught.
Our younger classes use a theme based curriculum in combination with learning centers, art, manipulatives, discovery and music to introduce numbers, colors, shapes and introduction to the alphabet.
In addition to their classroom Curriculum, the children also participate in a rotation class each day. The rotation classes consist of Music, Science, Spanish and Get Movin' (an exercise program for children). The children also attend Chapel each week. |
