Our stained glass window, located on the south side of our
Worship center, is an abstract design. Each person can find some
aspect of God in it without which aspect being
predetermined.
Local wedding photographers say we have the city's best window for their work.
Our Church and Society Committee leads the congregation in
providing funds and supplies to the variety of homeless- and
domestic-violence- and addiction-treatment-ministries in the
Cedar Rapids community.
Asbury's Chancel Choir adds pizzazz to our Sunday Worship.
They sing contemporary and traditional choir pieces -- even
classical or a cappela on occasion!
Groundbreaking, in April 1997, for an addition to our building
that includes a new, larger kitchen, an additional multi-purpose
room, and an ELEVATOR! (Most of the crowd
was hiding behind the camera!)
Construction proceeds! The elevator tower (with white cross)
can be seen as the roofing is being applied.
The new Kitchen got its first workout with our Election Day Soup Supper and Bazaar on November 3, 1997. The Elevator began service the following Sunday.

Some of the United Methodist Women (and a couple guests) prepare for a day-long fieldtrip.

There's always something happening at Asbury! (Come, be a part of it- we'd love to have you!!!)
