Our Stained Glass WindowOur stained glass window, located on the south side of our Worship center, is an abstract design. Each person can find some aspect of God in it without which aspect being predetermined.

Local wedding photographers say we have the city's best window for their work.

 

 

 

 

 

Church & Society does Homeless MinistriesOur Church and Society Committee leads the congregation in providing funds and supplies to the variety of homeless- and domestic-violence- and addiction-treatment-ministries in the Cedar Rapids community.

 

 

The Chancel ChoirAsbury's Chancel Choir adds pizzazz to our Sunday Worship. They sing contemporary and traditional choir pieces -- even classical or a cappela on occasion!

 

 

 

Children breaking ground for our AdditionGroundbreaking, in April 1997, for an addition to our building that includes a new, larger kitchen, an additional multi-purpose room, and an ELEVATOR! (Most of the crowd was hiding behind the camera!)

 

 

 

 

 

The Addition being builtConstruction proceeds! The elevator tower (with white cross) can be seen as the roofing is being applied.

The new Kitchen got its first workout with our Election Day Soup Supper and Bazaar on November 3, 1997. The Elevator began service the following Sunday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Asbury women on fieldtrip

Some of the United Methodist Women (and a couple guests) prepare for a day-long fieldtrip.
