Bro. Skipper Maxwell began his pastorate at Coy on July 1, 2007. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and did seminary at Emory in Atlanta. During his ministry he has served the following churches in Mississippi: Freeny and Sebastopol (4 years); Fletcher's Chapel and Bethany (2 years); Lexington and Ebenezer (4 years). Before becoming a full time pastor, Bro. Skipper was a part-time preacher at four churches - Sallis, McAdams, Salem and Bethel.
In 1969, Skipper married Teresa Ledlow from Flora. Teresa is a graduate of Holmes Jr. College and now works for Yates at the Nissan plant in Canton. They have three children - Britt, Jeffry and Jennifer.
