	Park Church Today
Park United Methodist Church is a growing congregation of people committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with our community and our world. We have two worship services. Our 9:00 AM service is an informal service. This means that we sing choruses and hymns. We also do not use many of the traditional aspects of worship such as Call to Worships and  printed responses and prayers. Our 11:00 AM service is a traditional United Methodist worship service. We will also usesd choruses in this service from time to time. We have a choir who sings an anthem every Sunday from September through May. We have Sunday School classes for ages 4 through adult. Our Sunday School meets in the Christrian Education Building behind the church. There is a parking lot off of 4th street. We have two Bible Studies on the Gospel of John that take place each week. There is one on Monday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Christian Education Building. There is also one that takes place on Thursdays over the lunch hour for those who work in the Coudersport area. this will be from Noon until 1:00 PM. bring your lunch and a Bible. Both of our Bible Studies are open to anyone who would like to come. We are sending 5 people and money for building supplies to the Ocean Springs Mississippi area with the Wellsboro District Mission team of 40 people. We are also planning on sending a short term mission team to the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in South Dakota in the Summer of 2009. We are supporting a Pastor and church in Sierre Leone West Africa. This is a new project for us, and we are looking forward to building this relationship. We are also supporting the "Nothing But Nets" program which buys mosquito netting for people in Africa to help stop the spread of malaria. We also support many local mission projects in the Coudersport area. We have a Preschool program called Park's Ark. Park's Ark has classes for 3 and 4 year olds. 4 year olds meet Monday and Tuesday morings from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The 3year old class meets Monday and tuesday afternoons from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. we teach them baic skills for kindergarten readiness, as well as Bible Stories and lessons. Park's Ark is open to anyone in the community who would like to send their child regaurdless of church affliation.
