Subject: Lenten School
Hello, Everyone,
Attached is a copy of the Delaware Hudson Districts Lenten School offerings. Please share this with your congregations tomorrow and throughout Lent. There is something here for everyone and you need not attend all Sundays. It is just a joy to get together to grow in our faith walks and fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ.
Blessings,

Subject: New DCOM Meeting Date
DCOM members:

Thanks to all of you who responded to my inquiry regarding availability for possible dates to hold our next.....and in all probability our last DCOM meeting.   It appears that of the choices the date with the fewest conflicts was Tuesday, March 15th....so that will be the date of our session.  Plan on the Danbury Church at 7:30.

As the day gets closer I'll be forwarding an agenda...but there are a couple of important updates to pass along.

District Youth event:  Neal Bowes has been hard at work on this project and has succeeded in developing a "Conference wide" youth event which will move from one location to another during the weekend of April 29th - May 1st.  Similar programs featuring the group "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" will be held at each of three locations.  Friday night's event will be held in Poughkeepsie and then it will move to our District at Jesse Lee U.M.C. in Ridgefield Saturday evening the 30th.  This promises to be a great event (Mad Dogs...etc. were the featured group at the very successful District event two years ago).  More details will follow BUT PLEASE GIVE THE YOUTH LEADERS IN YOUR CHURCH A "HEAD'S UP" ABOUT THE DATE!!!!!  Lets do what we can to make this a rousing success!!!!

The Denman Award:  There has been some discussion at Conference level regarding the nomination process this year.....i.e. should nominations be coming from each of the older "8" Districts....or the newly developing "6" ????????  As things stand now each of the current 8 Districts will be making nominations.  You...and your church should have recently received information and nomination forms from the District office.  Our goal is to have all the paperwork completed in time to get some preliminary material to DCOM members prior to our meeting on March 15th so that we can make a final decision on our nominations at that meeting.  YOU CAN HELP BY EXPEDITING THIS PROCESS AT YOUR CHURCH!!!!!!

   Blessings to all!

            Bob
