Three sites have been selected for the Stewardship Academy which will feature Lynda Byrd, Assistant General Secretary, Director of Development of the General Board of Global Ministries, and a host of workshops to strengthen our stewardship. The dates and locations are: March 11 at Hanson Place-Central UMC in Brooklyn, March 18 at Commack UMC, and April 8 at Poughkeepsie UMC. The time will be 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at each site. To download a flyer that may be printed, cut in half, and inserted into your Sunday bulletin or church newsletter, click on Stewardship Academy. These workshops have been carefully designed to respond to the real needs that local churches have in the areas of stewardship and funding its ministry. The program is being sponsored by the Conference Council on Finance and Administration, Connectional Ministries, and the United Methodist Frontier Foundation.
