TENT CELEBRATION

The church had a Tent Celebration, sponsored by the youth Aug. 6 through Aug. 9, 2002.  It was held at the Triangle in the center of  town in an attempt to make our church more visible to the community.  Each night there was Hymn singing, special music, a speaker, and refreshments.  The schedule for each evening was as follows:

Monday the speaker is the Pastor, Daryl Fourman, and Betty Gwinn is doing the special music.

 Tuesday was Youth Night.  Alice and Don Moore had crafts for the children and the
              speaker was a magician.  Popcorn, cotton candy, and popsicles was served. 

Wednesday the speaker was Marge Williams, and the chancel choir presented special music. 

Thursday Ernie Damron presented the message. 

  Friday was the grand finale, with Steve Gwinn as the speaker.  The church quartet sang, and the week was wrapped up with an Ice Cream Social.  Twenty gallons of ice cream was made for the occasion, so there was plenty!

It was a great week of celebration.
