Church School
Sunday School begins at 9:15 am
in the education wing. The classes are as follows:
Godly Players (ages 4 and 5); Young Disciples (1st and
2nd grades); Joyful Spirits (3rd and 4th grades) Bible
Explorers (5th and 6th grades); the youth class (7th though
12th grades) and young adults out of high school.
The Sunday School curriculum for
Pre-K through 6th grade is One Room Sunday School Kit; youth
7th-12th grade are studying Bible Lessons for Youth (BLY);
young adults are studying Push It & Faith Matters for Young
Adults.
The Sunday School also sponsors
the annual Easter Egg Hunt the day before Easter. Activities
include face painting, races, a talk about the symbols of Easter,
and, of course, the egg hunt.

Nursery
Tender, loving care is provided
to our toddlers during the second service of Worship. We are
always in need of volunteer adult caregivers. During the
second service of worship, there is also extended care for children
from ages four to seven. This group meets in the Sunday School
room where they have appropriate learning activities and care while
their parents worship.
Youth
The Youth Group
meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the youth room.
The Youth ministry seeks to introduce
students to Jesus Christ, equip them to honor God with their lives,
care for one another and serve those in need. The Youth Group also
participate in activities such as day trips and retreats,
sleepovers, dances/parties, discussions/debates, bowling, roller-blading, amusement parks, and much more. As well as having
fun, we give back to our community through participation in church
activities such as putting on Christmas Eve Children's Service and
the Easter Sonrise Services, car washes, and visiting the residents of Pineview
Nursing Home with the Evangelism Committee. They led the
Souper Bowl Sunday effort to help fight hunger and poverty. Join us and you
will spend time with a great group of people while having fun and
learning about God. Give us a try. We guarantee that you
will like us.
The Youth Group has gone to the
ROCK conference for youth since 2005. ROCK is an exciting Christian
weekend retreat in which youth in 6th-12th grade from the
Baltimore-Washington Conference of the UMC gather at the Ocean City
Convention Center. The purpose of the retreat is to "ROCK" the
lives of our youth and help them into a new or deeper faith in, and
personal relationship with the ROCK of our Salvation, Jesus Christ.
The Youth Group is currently
involved in raising money for the Nothing But Nets Campaign, which
is a global, grassroots campaign to save lives by preventing
malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa. The
anti-malarial bed nets are just $10 each. Bed nets work in two
ways: They stop mosquitoes from biting during the night and
spreading the disease, and the insecticide on the net kills
mosquitoes when they land on it. Send a net; save a life.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is being held June
16 - 20, 2008, for children ages 3 through completion of
sixth grade. Many youth participate as helpers and earn credit
towards school community service requirements.
