Clark Atlanta Community Service Program
Gay-linn E. Gatewood-Jasho, Director

“Community Service is not something to do.
It is the right thing to do.”
"To whom much is given, much is expected."
Taking its impetus from the campus Cultural Creed and the proverbial wisdom of the above quotations, the Community Service Program believes that responding to the needs of others is vital to being fully human. The program offers Clark Atlanta students an opportunity to grow through giving. In the tradition of those forebears who paved the way by creating the opportunites that we now enjoy, the program emphasizes our human obligation to work for justice and equal opportunity for all people. In the Program, students can contribute to their communities while learning the valuable lessons of civic responsibility through volunteerism. We work a variety of agencies, which offer a wide array of opportunities for service. We welcome your suggestions and ideas as we build a community of those who serve.
