the Youth Groups had several successful gatherings and activities the past
few months. Thank you to all who came
out to join us for our swim party, baseball game and youth gatherings. We
really appreciate Carla and Scott leading three terrific youth meetings. They shared their faith and organized some
wild and wacky games as well! We‘ve
had over 22 different youth involved this summer. The
next event is Revelation Generation Sept 4-5.
We are so excited to be spending time at this awesome concert
experience! The group will be leaving on Friday at 4:30pm. Please bring a bag
lunch and drink so we don’t have to stop on the way for food. There are vendors there but the prices are
high. The concert will be over about
11pm and we will head home after that. Expect delays getting out of the
parking “field” and to be back around 12:30pm. On Saturday we will meet at church at
about 10:30am (when we get the line-up we will decide on a definite time). Again we ask you to bring food and drinks
with you. There will be coolers in the cars to store lunches in. Make sure you have sunscreen on if it is
sunny – there are only a few areas of shade.
We can’t bring food into the concert area but we will make several
group trips to the cars to tailgate.
There are t-shirt and souvenir vendors there as well if you would like
to bring extra money. We will leave as soon as the last band finishes and
again be pretty late returning home.
At this point our cars are full. If you haven’t signed up and still
want to go we must recruit another chaperone/driver as well The
youth leaders will be meeting at the end of August to discuss some basic
plans for the fall season. Our first
youth meetings will be after Labor Day weekend so watch your emails and the
church bulletins for details! God
