Rev. Thomas Shaw

Rev. Thomas Shaw moved to Wooster in July 2003 as pastor
at Church of the Cross UMC. A native of San Diego, Rev. Shaw moved
here with his family after serving several terms of missionary service with
the United Methodist Church's General Board of Global Ministries.
Pastor Shaw holds a bachelor's degree from Vassar College and an
M.Div. degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has also studied
at the Hochschule fuer Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria and
is enrolled in a Doctor of Ministry degree program at the Wesley Theological
Seminary inWashington, D.C.
Following seminary Rev. Shaw served the Storm Lake UMC in Storm Lake,
IA from 1986 - 1993 prior to entering missionary service with the General
Board of Global Ministries in 1994. From 1994 to 2003 Rev. Shaw and his
wife served in France, North Africa and Germany, specializing in international
ministries and church planting.
Thomas and Susan Shaw are parents to four children: Emma,
Adam, Catherine and John.
