Faith

Psalm 34: 4-8
Two important characteristics of Christian Faith are:

1- Faith is in God, not in my strength. Psalm 34:6, Matthew 5.
2- Faith is not usually increased through blessings received.

Rather, First Peter says we are tested by fire. It is through trials and tribulations that our faith can be increased as we allow God to manifest His presence in our lives and show Himself strong.

God wants us to taste and see that He is good. Psalm 34:8.
This means trusting that God is at work in our lives. When we do face a difficult time in our lives God wants us to have faith that he will intermingle Himself in our lives and work all things together for our good as a part of His process to transform our lives to become like Jesus. Remember, God does not cause the pain and suffering in our lives, but He is committed not to waste these times. He uses them to transform our lives. (Romans 8:28-29)
