A plaque in the museum of Western Expansion recalls the words of a man on a wagon train heading west from St. Louis. He said that in just a few days after the Wagon Train left St. Louis the ‘American Character’ was revealed. The people were quite willing to govern and quite unwilling to be governed.
Becoming a Christian is a matter of surrendering our own self interest to God and accepting the rule of God in our lives.
