When You Hear The Rooster

Mark 16: 66-72
God’s purpose in our conversion is for our lives to be transformed as we become Like Jesus. Authentic Conversion is characterized by a Change of Heart where we begin to see and feel towards others and the world the same as God does.
This interior Conversion develops within us the qualities of:

Kindness
Humility
Commitment to God’s Justice

As we live out our life in Christ we are to re-align our priorities so that we can be responsive to God’s call on our life. This re-aligning of the priorities in our life is our affirmation that God is at work in us.

There will be many times when we fail to obey God and when we fail we, like Peter, we will ‘Hear The Rooster’ – that is the Spirit of God attempting to convict us of our sin. When we ‘Hear the Rooster’ we are being called to repent.
Because of the grace of God, even when we sin we can run to Jesus and confess our sins with the assurance that God will forgive our sins.

Without our willingness to be sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit in our lives and willingness to respond appropriately we will be severely out of balance in our Life in Christ.
