Call to Worship
Leader: We are here to celebrate our risen Lord’s presence and we affirm the gifts of
love, hope, joy and peace.
People: Here we discover the meaning of life, know the power of love, and together
celebrate new life in Christ.
Leader: To the place and time we have come. God is with us as a community of faith
as we look to the future with hope.
People: With neighbor and friend and with the stranger also, we have come
together to worship and give God praise.
All: May we now celebrate new life in Jesus Christ and sing the praise of a loving and compassionate God.
Our Sharing in Ministry
A Reading from Acts 2:42-47
Church Family Joys and Concerns
Unison Prayer of Confession
O God, give us in our lives the fruit of faithfulness: for there have been many
times when we have been faithless. We have not always been dependable to our
friends, to you, and to those who love us. Our word is not always true: If ever we
give our promise, grant that nothing may ever cause us to break it. Help us
always to stand by our friends and not let them down. Take us and make us fully
into your people. Fill us with a renewed sense of your Divine Presence. We pray
all this in the name of our risen Lord. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer (modern translation)
Our Father who is in heaven. Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom
come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we have forgiven those who
have sinned against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
from the evil one. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, forever. Amen!
Time with Children—Song—2168 “Love the Lord Your God”
Children are encouraged to come to the front during the singing of the hymn.

Giving of our Gifts, Tithes and Offerings
Offertory “My Lord and My God” ~Southbridge
*Response— 587 “Bless Thou the Gifts”
Bless thou the gifts our hands have brought; bless thou the work our hearts have
planned. Ours is the faith, the will, the thought; the rest, O God, is in thy hand.
*Prayer of Dedication ~
Welcoming God, there are many who need your hospitality, many who yearn for a
taste of your love and a drink of your life-giving water. Help us give of our
resources and of ourselves with a most generous spirit. In our giving may we be
welcomed as we have been welcomed through your love. May we be love to others
as we give our gifts and share in your loving presence. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
