Heifer Ark Project

As part of our church's 200th anniversary the Sunday school has kicked off our Heifer Ark Project. Heifer International helps people improve their lives by providing training and animals using sustainable farming methods. Our Sunday school kids love this project; an earlier project to raise money for a Heifer cow had several of our kids begging to go to church on Sunday so that they could help. Though small, both in size and numbers, this energetic group has set their goal to raise five thousand dollars to fill a Heifer Ark!

• May 13, Mother's Day - "Nuts about Mom" - chocolate candy sale - We dare to take 10-15 kids, 12 pounds of chocolate, 9 pounds of peanuts, and mix well! This has the potential to being a Mother's day that will not be forgotten soon.
• June 17, Father's Day - Pizza Hut lunch - We know dad's love to eat, so here's a chance to fill dad with salad, breadsticks, and of course pizza!
