The orphaned
boys and girls of Liberia have reason to hope. The
enormously ambitious project of the United Methodist Church, the Bishop
Judith Craig Children's Village, aims to give them the love and upbringing
deserved by children of God.
The
misery of Liberia's orphans must no longer be ignored; it must be challenged,
battled, and defeated. The
neglect and abuse in their lives must be replaced by loving care and opportunity
for the future.
