A Call for Volunteers with a
Mission
Most of
us are not able to go to Haiti, but there is poverty
and a need for volunteers in the Portland area.
There are lots of ways you can help. If you are
interested in working in mission, please join us at
the informational meeting:

100%
of funds donated through the church will go toward
Haiti Emergency Relief.
Folks can donate through our local church by writing
a check to the church and marking it for Haiti.

UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, is

UNCOMMON LECTIONARY
It's time for a change. We've been using the Revised
Common Lectionary for several years. It's a
three-year cycle of Bible readings drawn from all
the books of the Bible.
What's new is the Uncommon Lectionary, a two-year
cycle of Bible readings offering a new framework
for reading scripture in church.
The idea is to take a fresh look at the Bible
stories and apply them to our modern culture with
the aim of making disciples and deepening
spirituality.
