Communication
Communications team assists other committees and teams to promote activities, programs and fundraisers if they need it.
This can be with helping place ads in the newspaper or on the radio, and creating flyers, brochures or posters. There should be adequate time to prepare the materials, and get approval from the requesting committee, as well as lead time to place the advertising in the desired media. A month is a good lead time.
They do not have a budget so any money spent on advertising or publicity is the responsibility of the committee requesting the PR.
They also keep the church's web site up to date.
Lay Leader
Serves as a primary advocate for the laity, meets regularly with the pastor to discuss the function and flow of the mission of the church and to determine needs for new ministries.
Serves on the staff-parish, church council and finance committees.
Scribe
Takes notes at council meetings, and helps prepare charge conference materials.
At Large
A church member with voting rights on the council that represent the church congragation.
Memorial
Acknowledge memorial donations and maintain individual memorial records. They recommend expenditures and get approvals.
Ladies Aid
They run the Thrift Shop that supplies many needs to familes in our community.
