Our Seniors' group began about twenty-five years ago with several of our older couples deciding that a noon-meal fellowship would be a great idea to "get us out of the house" and into some kind of deliberate structured fellowship. Since then a local group, under AARP, has formed in the community. And a senior citizen's center, under the direction of Blair County Area Agency on Aging has also developed with week-day activities and noon luncheons.

But our Golden Heirs group continues with a monthly meeting (every FIRST Wednesday) for lunch and a short program. We average at around 24 for attendance. We say the group is open to anyone 55 or older.
