                           The Partnership for Preservation


Central United Methodist Church has established a special fund dedicated to maintenance and preservation of the Sanctuary and Temple House structures to continue to provide a setting for religious, cultural, recreational and community service to the Lansing Metropolitan Area.


Preliminary information concerning the fund was presented to the church leadership on March 31, 1999, with the official kickoff of the Partnership for Preservation at noon on May 1 where complete information was provided on opportunites to participate in this important project.


The Board of Trustees has set a goal of securing $1,000,000 in assets or trusts. Once this goal has been achieved, income from the fund will be put to use. The Partnership for Preservation will be funded in a number of ways--bequests through wills, trusts providing current income for the donor, grants from individuals and institutions and general fund raising efforts. Watch for our Christmas card project! This coming September, we'll be offering beautiful Christmas cards featuring the charming archive illustration of carolers shown here, in front of a turn of the century Central Church. Packages of 15 cards will be available for just $8.00 at the office, or mailed for an additional postage fee. Proceeds will go to the Partnership for Preservation.
