PEACE:  Sharing in Fellowship and Mission

AMI – All Methodists Invited

A fun-loving, loosely organized group that encourages informal, ad hoc get-togethers.  As an active part of our Parking Lot Ministry, they are the first greeters encountered by visitors.

If interested, please contact Wesley Nishinaka.

Camera Club

Camera Club members enjoy fellowship as they improve their photographic skills.  Meetings are held on the last Friday of the month and include a luncheon. Photo taking field trips are scheduled throughout the year.  Visits to the Long Beach Aquarium, the Getty Museum, the Palm Desert Botanical Gardens, the Cherry Blossoms at Lake Balboa, and the awe-inspiring Bryce Canyon have inspired the photographers.

If interested, please contact Sam Miyamoto.

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to serve God through a creative, supportive fellowship. Through fundraising events, they support the global ministries of the church and local community missions.  An integral part of church life, the women can be found hosting special events like the birthday celebration for 80 and 88 year olds, working on Bazaar preparations, helping with potlucks, and pitching in wherever their help is needed.  Meetings are on the last Sunday of the month.

If interested, please contact Jane Rivera.

United Methodist Youth

Centenary’s United Methodist Youth (UMY), a fellowship for youth in grades 7 – 12, stresses development of faith and personal Christian responsibility through education, fellowship, service and worship (which includes time for offering God their music and praise).  Our youth ministry’s strength is based on our youth and their families’ love for God and our church.  Our ministries include a Valentine Card Ministry, Easter Breakfast Buffet, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Recognitions, Chili Cook-Off, Mission Trips, Asian Camp, Halloween Fun House, and Thanksgiving Turkey Lock-In.  The youth participate in the many ministries of our church including worship, the Bazaar, the homeless lunch ministries and much, much, more.
