EDUCATION MINISTRY
Memorial UMC conducts Sunday School at 10 a.m. every Sunday for children of all ages. The children frequently participate in the worship service at 11:00 (special music and skits). The children prepare an annual Christmas program and work on mission projects such as the Heifer project and school kits for Mozambique. The worship service includes a weekly children's message and two children serve as acolytes each week. In addition, baby-sitting is available for very young children during Sunday School and worship.
Memorial United's Adult Bible Study class is designed for Christians who want to understand the Bible more fully. We study the Bible each week, and we use an open discussion format. Anyone who wants to participate can do so, and anyone who just wants to listen can do that as well.
We read a portion of scripture and then have a series of related questions designed to bring out all the truth we can find in our passage as well as how it relates to the world today.
