Burial Policy

for the Cemeteries owned by

Memorial United Methodist Church

Anyone buried at these four church owned cemeteries should be a current member of Memorial United Methodist Church, a family member of a current member of the church, or a member of a family already buried in the cemetery.

A maximum of four (4) grave sites may be assigned if requested.

The minister is the point of contact for a request for burial. After receiving all the details of the request, the minister will make contact with two people on the committee who represent the cemetery for which the request is being made. If the request meets the policy described above and the contacts and the minister agree, the request need go no further. If the request is not approved at this level, it will be referred to the Cemetery Committee. If the request is not approved by the Cemetery Committee it will be referred to the Church Trustees for final approval or disapproval.
