From the South and North: Exit 19 Kingston (off of Thruway) First exit off of the rotary (Pine Hill Rt. 28 West) Go about 6 miles. Look for West Hurley UMC on your right (small white church). Signal right at that time and Van Dale Rd. is your next right. (If you come to the traffic light with the sign indicating Woodstock Rt. 375 to your right, you’ve gone too far) Once on Van Dale Rd. go 1.7 miles. Don’t look at the numbers on the mailboxes. (Some people didn’t change their numbers when 911 ordered them to). Our house is on the right, set back from the road, behind a horseshoe driveway. Our name and number is on the big green mailbox. Coming from the West: Head east on Rt. 28. Through Margaretville, Fleischmanns, Shandaken, Phoenicia, Mt. Tremper, Boiceville, Ashokan, Shokan, etc. IGNORE the first sign for Woodstock 13 miles, instructing you to go left. Stay on Rt. 28 East. Wait until you see the sign for WEST HURLEY. Then there is a traffic light and a sign indicating Woodstock Rt. 375 to your left. Don’t turn left. Go straight through the traffic light. There will be three roads on your left. BROAD ST. JOHN ST., WALL ST. Van Dale Rd. is the fourth road on your left . Take it. Travel 1.7 miles. Ignore the numbers on the mailboxes. We are on the right. A horseshoe driveway. A big green mailbox with our name and number on it. Coming from the East: Go over the Rhinecliff-Kingston Bridge. Stay straight on 209 until you get to the Rt. 28 West exit. Go approximately 5 miles until you see the small, white West Hurley church on your right. Signal right. The next road is Van Dale Rd. Travel 1.7 miles (ignore numbers on the mailboxes). We are set in back of a horseshoe shaped driveway. Big green mailbox with our name and number on it. 71 Van Dale. From the Southwest: (former Delaware Hudson Churches) Take 209 North to the Pine Hill/Rt. 28 West exit. Go on 28 West about 6 miles. You'll come to a traffic light with a Stewart's on your right. Go through the light. In about half a mile (?) you'll come to the former West Hurley United Methodist Church on your right (it's white). Immediately signal right because Van Dale is your next road on the right. (Van Dale is a road to the right off Rt. 28) Go 1.7 miles on Van Dale. Don't look at the numbers on the mailboxes. Some people changed with the requirements, and some didn't. We're on the right, set in back of a horseshoe driveway. There's a big green mailbox with 71 and the name Chatterton on it. |
