At The Church

Nicodemus Fund

Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin, the Jewish court in Jerusalem. When Jesus Christ was tried before the Sanhedrin, Nicodemus spoke on his behalf. In keeping with that spirit, the congregation of the Castle Rock United Methodist Church tries to help members of the community who also needs someone to help in their time of need. The fund is used to help anyone in our community with assistance in purchasing food, medicines and other necessities of basic life needs. For those who need help, the Nicodemus Fund, Like Nicodemus himself will be there to help.

Join Friendly Callers

This group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 2:30PM. The group visits those who need encouragement: the frail elderly, nursing home residents, hospital patients. They also call on newcomers to the church. They provide encouragement, hospitality, prayer, and fun events.

Donate Used Eye Glasses

When you place your used glasses or sun-glasses in the basket in the foyer Jim Ogden uses them to give the gift of sight to those in foreign countries who otherwise would not be able to afford them. Contact Janet Kolk for Details

Bring Food for the Hungry

When you bring non-perishable food items on Communion Sunday and leave it in the foyer, the United Methodist Women use it to fill our food pantry for those who come to the church in need. Any other Sunday and it will be taken to the local food bank by volunteers who work there during the week. Contact Dorothy Dana for the Church Food Pantry.

Heifer Project
