Missions

Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, to all the souls you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, With all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can.

-- John Wesley

Our congregation has a strong commitment to missions. In addition to the following mission projects, our church gives over $13,000 annually for missions through our Conference Appointments.

Rainbow Covenant:

On the Road to Mission

Rainbow Covenant seeks to help churches develop an intentional approach to funding mission.  Travel the road to the rainbow, and remember that each mile means service with more of god's people.  Remember, too, that each color of the rainbow represents a different aspect of the mission.  A road and a Rainbow helps us keep track of where we are and where we are going!

By learning about mission, health development, poverty, and hunger at villages like Duffaiye, North American children can begin contributing in a meaningful way to the health of Haitian children. They can develop a true mission partnership with children and youth in Haiti.  (More on link above)

Soup Kitchens and Cottage Industries in Russia  Helps expand soup kitchens and cottage industries serving older adults.  When United Methodist food parcels were delivered to the elderly the church found persons not only hungry for food but also for fellowship and activity. As the church searched out those who were truly hungry and helpless, it became clear that the food parcel was just a beginning to an essential ministry, and so the first soup kitchen was begun. Then the ministry was expanded to include an unusual hospital for the elderly. The hospital ministry with the elderly need to be expanded to provide productive activities and opportunities for fellowship.  (More on link above)
