Kids Corner Class Information The children and teachers gather in their classrooms at 10:30 AM, attend worship from 10:45 AM until the Children’s message is over. They will return to their classroom for the rest of the hour for their Christian education and be dismissed at the end of the Worship Hour. Youth Group: Youth from sixth grade and up are welcome. Plans are being made to attend the Conference Youth Rally “On His Mark, Set Go”. Speaker: Chris Haw; Music Saline and 4 Truth. There will be workshops, fun and games on October 2 and 3. If you have questions, please call Gloria or Mert Shane at 570-424-1596. Outreach Committee The outreach committee is seeking people with ideas on how to help our church grow while meeting the needs of the congregation. If you would like to support this committee, please join us on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. C.A.M.E. (our local food pantry) And Clothing Give Away Please give generously to the food pantry! A box for your donations is located at the back of the sanctuary. Thanks to the contributions of our congregation and members of the community, the Clothing Give Away is again operational. Our clothing outreach is currently in need of children’s “gently used” (not outdated) clothing. Girl’s clothing sizes 0—6 months as well as sizes for 4-5-6-7-8-year olds and shirts for teens and young adults. Boy’s clothing sizes 3T as well as sizes 4-5-6-7-8-9-10 year olds and shirts for teens and young adults. Circle of Friends All women are invited to be a part of this outreach organization. Some of the ministries provided by this group are hosting food and dessert functions for our church and community; packing care packages for shut-ins, service men and women, and college students; planning Everybody’s Birthday Party; and other functions. The Circle of Friends will present An Evening in Germany “Octoberfest” Dinner on October 24 from 4:00—7:00 pm. Price: $9 Adult; $4.50 children under 12. Take out is available. The Circle of Friends is considering a bus trip to the Sight and Sound Theater to see “The Miracle of Christmas” on Saturday, November 21. We would leave the church at 7:45 am, shop and have lunch from 10:00-12:30 and go to the show at 1:30 pm. Dinner would be from 4:00-5:30 pm and we should arrive home around 8:00 pm.
