All God's Children
For Children of Incarcerated Parents

September 26-28, 2008

The camp weekend is intended to reach children, grades 3-5, at risk because one or both of their parents are incarcerated. It is our goal to surround these children with the love of Christ  demonstrated through many acts of caring and sharing. The children are invited to a special weekend in the fall and particiapte with other campers in the regular summer program. Best of all, they are mentored by unconditionally loving adults. Contact the Camp Office or your school counselor for information about attending All God's Children Camp.

Want to Sponsor A Child?
Funds to operate the weekend are needed to cover costs of food and lodging for campers and mentors, mentor training, leadership manuals and certain program supplies. A sponsorship gift of $140 covers these costs as prorated per camper. Checks may be made payable to Camp Overlook but should be marked for All God's Children.

Want to be a Mentor?
Energetic, committed and patient men and women are needed to form a personal, Christ revealing relationship with our campers. Mentors will probably relate to two campers and will participate as a partner in camp activities. Good physical condition is important for negotiating the hills and trails of Camp Overlook and keeping up with excited youngsters. Mentors live in the cabin with the campers and maintain contact by phone or correspondence with their campers until the camp scheduled for next fall. Mentors are volunteer and their camp expenses are paid through the sponsorships already described.
