Overlook is a Christian facility in which the program is a laboratory in Christian living. The purpose of Overlook is to provide opportunities for Christian growth and self-development in an outdoor setting through a variety of worship experiences, fun activities and interpersonal relationships. It is designed as a vital part in the continuing Christian Education program of the local church. The worth of the individual is of primary importance and all who attend the camp are expected to live together in Christian fellowship. Opportunities are afforded each camper to relate to others and to God in his or her own way. The program and mature Christian leadership is intended to provide the best for a week filled with fun, fellowship, and Christian growth for each camper. Rules for acceptance and participation in the camp are the same for everyone without regard to sex, race, color, national origin, or disability.

The Staunton, Harrisonburg, and Winchester Districts of the United Methodist Church have provided  Overlook as a facility for the community and for their churches, as support for their Christian Education Program, especially those phases that can best be taught in the camp retreat setting.

Overlook is located at the base of the scenic Massanutten Mountains less than 20 minutes drive from Harrisonburg, VA only 10 minutes from Interstate 81.  Its 161 acres command a panoramic view of the Shenandoah Valley and border the peaceful woodland of George Washington National Forest. Hiking trails, mountain streams, fields and a beautiful lake reveal God's glory through His creation.

You are invited to come to  Overlook with your camps, retreats, school classes, group organization activities, or family outings. Break away from ruts, routines, and old habits! Overlook can be your year-round facility for breaking loose and finding renewal.

Overlook is a smoke free - alcohol free facility.
