The church is on the right about 1/4 mile from Rt. 32  

Calvary's History
In 1776, this church became a reality in a sod house
just a short distance from its present location.  By
1827, a log cabin had been built at what is now 3939
Gamber Road.  That year also saw the congregation
divide over style of governing within the church and
 form Providence M.P. Church and Mount Pleasant M.E. Church.

  In 1872 the first brick sanctuary was erected and
that was replaced in 1907 by the church structure.  Calvary
Methodist Church emerged out of the reunion of the
Providence and Mt. Pleasant churches.  The merger of
Methodist and E.U.B. denominations in 1968 established the
Calvary United Methodist Congregation.
