Mission Statement

Our mission at Calvary United Methodist Church is :

to be guided by the Holy Spirit

to be the eyes, ears, hands, feet and voice of Jesus,

to be a community of believers who reach out to others, and

to worship God and grow in the image of Christ.

Our Sunday Services are:

8:30am The Celebration Service is led by the pastor and the worship team. Held in the casual setting of the multipurpose room this engaging service offers contemporary music, prayer and fellowship.

10:30am Our traditional service is lead by the pastor, with music from the senior choir and the bell choir. Relevant sermons, lovely hymns and reflective prayer are all a part of this service which is held in the main sanctuary.

The Sunday Bible study program begins at 9:30am for all ages. Children gather in the multipurpose room and are taken to their workshop location. we teach using the workshop rotation method. Visit our Christian Education page to learn more about this program. Adults meet in the parlor. We have a small and friendly learning environment, where everyone is welcome.

Activities

Some of the groups at Calvary include United Methodist Women's and United Methodist Men's groups, adult fellowship, young adult ministry, youth group, and bible study.

Numerous special activities and events are also available; Interfaith Hospitality Network, Operation Christmas Child, Mission trips, line dancing, picnics and fellowship luncheons.

Calvary Bell Choir: This is a new music ministry program at Calvary. You are welcome and encouraged to join. Prior experience playing the bells is not necessary. New members are welcome practices are on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm.

Calvary Senior Choir: This group has a long standing reputation for it's wonderful music. If you have a heart for music and would like to participate you are welcome to join. New members are being sought at this time. Practices are on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm.

Calvary is located at the intersection of Park and Lindenwold Aves. in Ambler, Pennsylvania a small (.8 of a square mile) borough outside of Philadelphia with a population of roughly 6,000 people.
