Missions

The purpose of the Cairo United Methodist Charge is to be a soul winning unit of churches for Christ. We gather to hear, and heed God's Word. To have Christian fellowship and to encourage and strengthen one another. To pray for and support missions and to help spread the Gospel around the world. To be a witness in our community and our homes, to let our light shine to show that Christ is a living reality in our lives, that we may reach others for Christ.

To support and work with our pastor in the endeavors of our charge. To support the phases of our charge and denomination. To participate in the activities of our charge and be willing workers and helpers. To work together in unity and love for the up building of God's Kingdom. To be an outreach for the unsaved. To love one another as Christ loves us. To teach and share our faith with others. We need to be an outreach center for the unconcerned, and a support group for those who need spiritual guidance. To teach our young people that they may come to know Christ as their Savior, and they they may be the present and future leaders of our Church.
