| In 1929, a class was organized in the abandoned
Shields Chapel building. It was torn down and moved
to its present location, rebuilt and rededicated in 1930
as Big Run E.U.B. Church. In 1968, with the merger
of the E.U.B. and The Methodist Church, Big Run E.U.B.
became the Big Run United Methodist Church and became
part of the Cairo United Methodist Charge. The Church is
located 3/10th's of a mile off of Rt 31 on Big run. Big
run is located 2 miles west of Cairo.
