Ogdin UMC
Located on State Route 31 in the small community of Ogdin, WV, Ogdin United Methodist has served faithfully since 1891. Ogdin UMC is truly a church on the move, literally. The original church building was constructed on Love Hill Road sometime in the 1870's. It was first named Center Chapel and deeded to the Methodist Episcopal Church in the Williamstown Circuit. It was physically moved from the Love Hill location using logs and poles and horses and mules providing the power. In 1939, the flooding of the nearby creek undercut the foundation of the building and it again was physically moved away from the creek into its current location next to State Route 31.

The Bible stand or pulpit was built by Henry Wilkinson Jones, the same casket maker and undertaker that provided the same service to Mt. Moriah UMC. The original hand hewn pews are still in use to this day. In 1960, two Sunday School rooms were built onto the original building whose expanding membership required more space to meet. Due to declining area population has reduced the number of those who attend worship, the remaining faithful meet on every Sunday morning for Sunday School and are served on first, third, and fifth Sunday mornings by the circuit preacher.
