SIERRA LEONE REPORT

The primary school which opened in September continues to operate with four teachers who are very thankful for their positions and also thankful to be able to share the gospel with the children each day.

Lee Weaver shipped a truck on which we were able to place two tubs containing Bibles and New Testaments. My hope is that the students will be able to use the New Testaments each day as they read devotions. When they are able to read without help, they will be able to take them home to read. This idea really excites me.I hope it does the same for you.

The 45X80 building is up to full height. It is a two-story structure with a balcony. I want to thank the Lord and you for your sacrificial giving to this project. The cost of material continued to rise as we built for a total of $46,050 which was more than I had planned. The cost of labor was $14,460. This work has kept about thirty men employed enabling them to keep their families supplied with rice. The work has been a real blessing for them. Praise the Lord.

The last phase of the building will be putting on the roof which will cost $14,500 for material and labor. We will continue to trust God to supply the funds.

Please know that all the ministry we have been able to do for the two churches in Sierra Leone is because of your faithful support. May the Lord richly reward you in 2009 for all you did in 2008. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts

We received a DVD of a school program presented around Christmas at New Miracle Primary school in Monkey Bush. It shows the children standing inlines outside doing their morning devotions. The program continues inside. We really enjoyed watching the grades share memory verses, skits and songs. If you would like to receive a copy just let us know We will also come to your church to share about the work being done with the help of so many of you.
