Broad Top Church

Church History
The Broad Top City United Methodist Church,
located at the corner of Broad and Walnut Streets was constructed in 1900. The
church replaced a former structure that was brought to the community from White
Church in 1875 and was used until the new church was constructed.
The church is part of the Broad Top Area
United Methodist Charge along with Wood and Cooks UMC. The church membership
is 24. We average 23 in attendance for the Sunday School Services and rotate
our Church Services with Cooks and Wood (see schedule on home page). The congregation
makes a great effort to keep the church in good repair. We are dedicated to
the spiritual well being of our congregation and strive to reach out in many
ways to our community and fellow man.
We are small in number, but out faith and
dedication is strong.

Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart
and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him; and
he shall direct thy paths.
Psalms 46: 1-2
God is our refuge and strength, a tested
help in times of trouble. And so we need not fear even if the world blows up,
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
