IXTHUS wants to know what you think of the sermon?

Below, are links to two sermons that I preached during last few months.  Choose one, or read through all of them, and let me know what you think.  Hopefully this process will be both educational and fun.  It will also help me in preparing future sermons.

Thanks for your response . . . and your help!

Note, unless otherwise stipulated, all responses will be posted to a "Sermon Response Page."

June 11th:  When I first came to Brush UMC as your pastor, I emphasized the importance of having a vision of where God wants us to be as a congregation, and the nature of the ministerial task God has placed before us as a church.   In this sermon I build upon this conviction.  Our vision should be built around, I suggest, a "christocentric philanthropy" that builds upon our differences allowing us to successfully particpate in building God's reign in the Brush community and beyond.
July 23rd: As you probably know, one of the themes I have stressed since my arrival is that we need to have a vision of the ministry that God has placed before us as a church.  When I first arrived here, this vision was one of survival.  It showed us what we needed to do if we were to get our church back on its feet.  You have responded wonderfully to that vision and now it has become a reality.   But the work of the church is never completed and God is placing before us yet another vision, this time a vision of what we need to do if we are to be successful ministers to a new millennium.  This sermon outlines this vision.
