Fourth of July Gifts for our Troops
Let's send gifts to our service men and women whose families are in our church.
Collected: Each Sunday in April and May. They will be mailed June 2 so they will arrive in time.
You might include these or other items: nuts, beef jerky, trail mix, tropical mix, pretzels, Granola bars, dried fruit. Nothing should be shipped in glass containers. Give cash or checks if you prefer for us to make the purchases or to help with postage. Make checks to FUMC. Designate for troops. Boxes will be in the Duncan Class and the Narthex.

Let's say thanks via the Internet.
Let's continue to let our troops know they have our support. Visit Let's Say Thanks and pick out a thank you card. Xerox will print it and send it. You can't pick out who gets it. You are asked not to give your email address or other personal information. You might want to email the site's address to friends.

Anyone for ice cream? June 1st at 6:00 p.m.
The Family Ministries/Education Committee is sponsoring an old fashion Ice Cream Social in the fellowship hall. Those families having an ice cream freezer are asked to sign up and bring their favorite homemake ice cream. A sign up sheet will be on the table opposite the main doors to the Sanctuary or they may contact Claudia Schneider, James Walker or Jan Storch.  All others are asked to bring cookies or cake.

READY FOR SUMMER SUPPER CLUB?
    Last summer, we had a Summer Supper Club for 3 months to extend our Wednesday night Fellowship "habits" through until September.
    Those signing up are randomly put into groups of 6 to 8 each, with one person named the host. The host decides when and where the group meets. One group may choose a covered dish supper; another may opt to meet in a local restaurant.
    The important thing is to be together in small groups for fellowship and to make new friends while continuing to enjoy the "old" friends.

Our youngest singers are in The Cherub Choir.
They practice 10:30 a.m. each Sunday.

When is revival over?
Revival is never completed if we place Christ first in our lives;
if we continue to share Christ with others;
if we continue to pray for our church leaders and our church programs;
if our leaders, teachers, and workers take their responsibilities seriously as a direct commission from God;
if we preform our responsibilities seriously and faithfully;
if we approach our church work with renewed enthusiasm and commitment.
      A special thank you to Rev. Mike Ricker and all who made our revival such a wonderful time in the life of the church....The Committee on Evangelism.

With your help, we can continue to make the site an invitation for visitors and a handy reference for members. Much of the information on the site is from the newsletter and the bulletin, but emails to the site designer about events in the near and distant future are welcome.

The newsletter's editor, Lyle Certain, reminds us of the following which applies to the newsletter and the site as well. "The newsletter is for your use. The calendar is an important part of the monthly newsletter. Every attempt is made to include the most important events and meetings of the month. If we miss something, it's because we haven't been informed, and we're sad when we don't have everything mentioned. Would you help us by placing in the drop box the things you know about? We really want to know and the church family does too! Thank you!"
