INTROIT: G 242 We Have Come Into His House (v.1)

We have come into His house

And gathered in His name to worship Him.

We have come into His house

And gathered in His name to worship Him.

We have come into His house

And gathered in His name to worship Christ the Lord.

Worship Him, Christ the Lord.

CALL TO WORSHIP:

L. Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses

P. Élet us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

L. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize.  For there will come a day when you should be able to say with confidenceÉ

P.  ÒI have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that dayÉand not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.Ó  Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

OPENING PRAYER
