CHANGE FOR PIGS: This year the Sunday school children will be collecting change to buy pigs for Deanna Shimko’s Pig Project in Cambodia. Last year we purchased 7 pigs. Let’s try for more this year. If we meet our goal, Pastor Steve will dress up like a pig! (We need 2 more pigs by the end of November!) ?

THANKSGIVING ECUMENICAL SERVICE. The United Methodist Church will host the Thanksgiving service this Tuesday night, November 24th, at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Larry Froemming of Bethany Lutheran Church will be speaking

THE COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER will be held at the UCC Thursday, November 26th from 12-2 p.m.

THERE WILL BE A COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER planning meeting at the UCC tonight at 7:00 p.m.

POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS: Once again we are ordering poinsettias to decorate the altar for Christmas. If you would like to order a plant(s), please fill out the form on the back table (yes, the forms really are there this week) and place it along with the $ in an envelope marked “Poinsettias”. This may be placed in the offering plate or mailed to the church office by Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Please take Poinsettias home after church on December 27th. Cost: $12 for a single bloom; $22 for a double bloom

BRODHEAD TO BETHLEHEM—December 11th, 12th, and 13th. We have been invited to join Living Word Church in their annual presentation, Brodhead to Bethlehem. Sign up sheets are on the back table if you would like to participate.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING ON THE SQUARE. Our church has been invited to join the other churches in our community to mingle on the square singing Christmas carols for 1 hour on Saturday afternoon, December 12th. If you would like to be a part of this activity, please sign the clipboard on the back table.

NEW TRANSPORTATION SERVICE IN BRODHEAD: Green County Human Services if offering in-town transportation services on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fares are $1.50 each way for two stops and 50 cents for additional stops. Preference will be given to those who are 60 years and older, disabled, and physically challenged of all ages. For advanced reservations call 328-9364, and on Wednesdays call the driver directly at 558-2679.
