Worship this Sunday, May 26th at 10 am, will include the reading of the apostle Paul’s description of the Trinity; scripture found in Romans 5:1-5 to be read by Leslie Kramsky. Pastor Cheryl Meachen’s sermon, entitled, “Creator, Beloved and Comforter,” will explore the nature of the Holy Trinity and its meaning in our lives today. The choir, directed by Jenny Hinton will sing “Surely.” We will receive a special offering for Peace with Justice Sunday, celebrating the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and witness to God’s demand for a faithful, just, disarmed and secure world; this special offering benefits peace-related ministries. Plants and seeds, along with the workers and the soil itself from our Helping Hands garden will be blessed. Parishioners are also invited to bring plants and other items that they may plan to bury or bring to their loved ones’ graves for Memorial Day to be blessed at the altar during worship.
