Dear
Friends: Yes
we are feeling those first cooler temperatures of the season which means
an extra blanket on the bed, other fall activities, football, falling
leaves, mums, and back to church. Summer is down time for many but now
that October is here we need to think about the life of the church and
what we can do to help fulfill its mission. We
are so pleased to have 6 people joining the church on October 18th,
please join us as we welcome them into the church family. There are many
events coming up at the church and we invite you to participate in as
many as you can. There is the UMW Dinner, the CROP Walk, youth group,
puppet ministry in the Sunday school, a new Sunday school class forming
for children leaving nursery, and so much more. We
are grateful that our Thrift Shop has been open for nearly a year. Thank
you to all who have worked so faithfully to stock, sell, and make our
first year a success. With prayer and some hard work this can be a
ministry that continues to grow and serve the needs of our community.
Some of the proceeds have helped in the expenses and outreach of the
church. There
is more we can do and we ask for your support through your prayers and
service. God has blessed us with a talented and loving congregation. See
where you might be able to use your gifts and talents to help our church
continue to offer programs and ministries that will glorify the Lord
Jesus Christ. We will not only help others, we will grow in faith and
feel good about our efforts. Grace
and Peace, Mark W. Ale, Pastor
