Christian Education
 

Bonners Ferry UMC has classes for all ages, from preschoolers to grandparents, and are open to everyone. Children's Sunday classes are not offered during the summer and start up after Labor Day. There is one adult class offered on Sunday mornings throughout the year with childcare available, in addition to Wednesday Bible Study for youth and adults.

Children & Youth Classes

Rotational Sunday School – This theme based program uses a single Bible story that is taught over the course of 8 weeks using games, art and wood projects, music, computers, story telling and much more.  There are activities and lessons suitable for all ages from 4 to 11! Classes are Sundays at 9am.

Jr. & Sr. High - Topical studies offered throughout the school year for youth in 6th-12th grades.

Youth Group - Open to junior high and senior high students.  Bi-monthly youth group meetings and outreach events, seasonal retreats, service projects, leadership training, small groups, and a mission trip planned for Summer 2006.

Vacation Bible School - preschool thru 6th graders. Offered one week in the summer. Themes and times vary.



Adult Classes

Adult Sunday School  is open to adults of all ages, starts at 9am on Sunday morning.

Wednesday Night Bible Study is every Wednesday evening at 7pm. This is an interactive study along with praise music and prayer time. It is a systematic study of the bible from the beginning of Genesis on through Revelation.

New Members Classes are led by Pastor James as needed and are open to all those wishing to join the church.  Expect to learn the basic history of Methodism, how Bonners Ferry UMC fits into the larger United Methodist Church, and what being a member means. 

Other learning opportunities:  Special classes are offered throughout the year such as Hallmarks of the UMC , Lenten Bible Study, and Testimony Sharing.  The United Methodist Women also have two Bible Study circles each month and a Reading Group.
