Dear Friends, Neighbors and those looking for a New Loving Church Home,

We have been in Bayou La Batre since 1902. We have been at our present location, 12700 Padgett Switch Road, since 1980 so we are not going anywhere. We are "the big church on the hill" that came to the aid of many in the aftermath of Katrina.

We have a Playground for the children and Basketball Hoops for all. We offer a Nursery for the young children and Sunday School for all ages. On Wednesday evening we offer the Awana Club Activities for children from 2 years old through the 6th grade. At the present we have an ongoing Bible Study for youth and adults as we go through the New Testament, a study taught by the Bayou's own John Weston, a graduate with a Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary. We have a wonderful choir that practices on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8 PM - come join and make a joyful sound.

The women of the church, called WOW (women of works) hold a monthly meeting the second Monday of each month and are involved in many ministries. Another group of women (Simply Singles) meet the first Tuesday of each month at 5 PM, covered dish dinner, and they they get together and have fun playing dominos and catch up on the latest news.

During the rest of the year we hold many different events that all can enjoy and have fun.

Our Wednesday schedule is:

  • 5-5:30 PM - Covered Dish Dinner
  • 5:30-7 PM - Awana Chldren's Activities
  • 7-8 PM - Choir Practice
Our Sunday schedule is:
  • 9 AM - Prayer Time
  • 9:30 AM - Sunday School
  • 10:45 AM - Worship Service

Come and experience God as we bring Glory, Honor and Praise. You can help us make a difference for the "Kingdom" by touching others for Jesus Christ.

God is waiting.
