Nic Burt Liver Transplant
Nic Burt, 26, is the son of Ken and Judy Burt and the grandson of Bill and Melissa Rains. Nic was a miracle when he was born on August 17, 1981, and he continues to be throughout all of this. He graduated from Skyview in 1999 and began a career in the culinary field. He worked at Olive Garden and recently at Walker's Grill. Nic also continues to work for the family business, "Off Main Deli", where he entertains customers with jokes and a wonderful sense of humor.
Nic had a liver transplant on February 15, 2008, in Omaha. The operation and associated care will cost about $300,000. His family has raised $150,000 and Nic will need help with the remaining $150,000. Home UMC has established a special fund to raise money for this cause. Nic remains in Omaha with his girlfriend, Ada Morrow, who is constantly at his side as his caregiver. He has a great attitude and much appreciation for all that everyone is doing and has done.
